Join us for an intimate evening with the legendary songwriter and guitarist, Bert Jansch. According to Neil Young…“As much of a great guitar player as Jimi [Hendrix] was, Bert Jansch is the same thing for acoustic guitar…and my favourite”. Indeed, Jansch has been so completely influential since the mid 60’s that his unmistakable and innovative style of playing has been adopted through the generations by such a wide range of guitarists from Nick Drake and Donovan to Jimmy Page and Pete Townshend to Johnny Marr, Beth Orton and Devendra Banhart. Fellow Drag City recording artist, Alasdair Roberts, a young Scottish troubadour, discovered and championed by Will Oldham, will open the show.
