“Wade’s horrifying study in disorientation and unhinged passions is also both comical and touching…” – The Village Voice

Director and choreographer Jeremy Wade juxtaposes layers of animation, still images, movement, and sound in an ambitious performance and visual art work exploring global pop culture. Taking a playful and cynical look at Japanese kawaii (cute) culture, Wade exposes themes of consumption, delusion, and aberration.

A disembodied spectacle in the style of a Children's Television Show (not appropriate for children). Let us introduce you to The Power Point Girls, our friends Melty, Buddy the Bear, Flush, Yoko and our lovable host Jared Gradinger! Welcome to there is no end to more.

For his fifth evening length piece Jeremy Wade steps off the stage and directs a highly mediated solo for performer Jared Gradinger. The project, commissioned by the Japan Society, New York began during a month long research period in the mega city of Tokyo. there is no end to more investigates the relations of global consumer culture, Kawaii or cute aesthetics, utopian visions of TV, and vertigo inducing science fiction.

The project was developed in collaboration with NY Writer Marcos Rosales, Japanese illustrator Hiroki Otsuka, Berlin based video artist Veith Michel, musician Brendan Dougherty and architect Henning Ströh.

Co-presented with the New Hazlett Theater.
Commissioned by Japan Society.
Illustrations by Hiroki Otsuka.
