Aesthetics: Elizabeth Forward High School

Students analyzing Warhol's aesthetic choices

Maleene Haris, Art
Nicole Dezelon, Warhol Education Staff

Elizabeth Forward students used many of the activities in this unit during their visit to The Andy Warhol Museum. Using the Dialogue number 1 in Lesson 5 about artists’ choices the students compared and contrasted Andy Warhol’s early drawings and blotted line work to his photographic silkscreen prints of Cows and Campbell’s Soup.

While planning and executing a mural in their school, students engaged in dialogue and considered their own artistic choices as they related to aesthetics.
