The Weekend Factory Volunteer Program “It was all fun and games, and we all were willing to participate.” The Volunteer Program offers men and women of all ages the opportunity to participate in the Warhol Museum’s Weekend Factory Studio Program. On Saturdays and Sundays the Weekend Factory provides a unique place for visitors to the Museum to experience hands on understanding of Warhol’s art and related exhibitions through working on various activities in the studio and galleries. Artist Educators, Volunteers and Interns work closely to provide a welcoming educational atmosphere in the studio where Warhol’s techniques and ideas can be easily accessed and discussed. Volunteers take part in several aspects of the program including the set up and break down activities, maintaining materials and equipment, researching and developing new activities based on current exhibitions, and cleaning up when necessary. Volunteers also participate in other aspects of Public Programs and may include working alongside performance artists, assisting in cultural programs and helping the Education Department in all administrative tasks. We count on our volunteer staff to be dependable and mature, to be able to work well alongside others in teaching participants of a variety of ages and to have an interest in art of the 20th century and contemporary culture. Volunteer applicants please send a resume and/or a letter of interest to: Andy Warhol, photo Greg Gorman, 1983
