Jen Quinio (Modern Formations Gallery)

All of the venues below provide this city, old and new residents alike, with alternative and original forms of art, entertainment, living, and dining.  The people that maintain these spaces instill a sense of community and pride in the patrons who support them.

The Quiet Storm (Garfield) is one of the first vegan restaurants/cafes to set up shop in this city.  It gives people another option for an artistic and unique dining experience.

East End Food Coop (Point Breeze) provides the community with locally grown organic foods and a wonderful deli/cafe.

Modernformations (Garfield) supports local artists and all forms of artistic expression.  Much emphasis is put on national and international artists, while local talent is being overlooked.  This gallery recognizes that some of the hardest working people and the freshest ideas are in our very own neighborhood. (first and second photos)

Mr Roboto Project (Wilkinsburg) is a one of a kind place that supports music and art with a "do-it-yourself" philosophy.  It's also community oriented and cooperatively run. (third photo)

Garfield Artworks (Garfield) was one of the first galleries to make its home in Garfield, a troubled neighborhood plagued with crime and abandoned buildings.  It has stood the test of time and remains a cultural center in a burgeoning gallery district. (fourth photo)
