live art

Performance still from Rabih Mroue's 'Pixelated Revolution', performed at The Andy Warhol Museum as part of the Off the Wall series.

The Warhol strives to present a range of contemporary performance and live art devoted to challenging conventional perceptions of art and providing audiences with a diverse offering of unique and thought-provoking live performance experiences. The Warhol has been pleased to collaborate with several arts organizations in the presentation of contemporary performance work, including Performance Space 122 (PS122), Carnegie Museum of Art, The Pittsburgh Cultural Trust, and the New Hazlett Theater.  Since 2009, The Warhol has been part of the Spalding Gray Award consortium, along with The Walker Arts Center in Minneapolis, Performance Space 122 in New York and On the Boards in Seattle, to annually commission and present work by artists/writers/performers who are fearless innovators of theatrical form.
