SUMMARY:Virtual Workshop for Early Learners: Julia’s Flowers
DESCRIPTION:Join our educators for a series of Virtual Workshops for early learners\, ages 3–6. Participants will engage in a mix of storytelling\, hands-on synchronous art making\, movement and independent exploration. \nFrom Warhol’s illustrations in the 1950s to his iconic silkscreen prints in the 1960s and beyond\, images of flowers are prominent in The Warhol’s collection. His mother\, Julia\, was an artist in her own right and made tin can and crepe paper flowers when Warhol was growing up. You’ll make our own cheery bouquets using an adaptation of Julia’s technique. \nSee all of our Virtual Workshops for Early Learners. \nPlease note: This will be a live online workshop. Caregivers are required to stay with their child for the duration of the workshop. A computer or tablet with a camera and microphone\, along with stable internet connection are needed to participate. Art projects can be completed with common art supplies and objects found around the house. Supply lists vary from workshop to workshop. Files for supplemental worksheets and project templates will be emailed to registrants to be downloaded and printed at home. Arrangements can be made to have printouts mailed\, if needed.
