SUMMARY:Marisol Takes The Warhol!
DESCRIPTION:Join us for a day filled with pop-up activities celebrating Marisol and Warhol Take New York! Experience Marisol’s enigmatic Pop assemblage sculptures from the 1960s\, brought together in Pittsburgh for the first time. Join an exhibition tour with Jessica Beck\, Milton Fine curator of art\, and enjoy sketching and other artmaking activities inspired by Marisol. Help create a large-scale collaborative assemblage project in the museum’s outdoor Green Space with the Pittsburgh Center for Creative Reuse\, or make your own sculptural masterpiece to take home. In the evening\, don’t miss Counterbalance: Redefining the Archive\, a night of film\, conversation and music (separate registration required). \nSchedule\n12–4 p.m.\nJoin the Pittsburgh Center for Creative Reuse  for Marisol-inspired sculpture activities outside in The Warhol: Green Space. \n12–4 p.m.\nVisit The Factory for silkscreen printing and sketching activities. \n12:15–12:45 p.m.\nFamily-friendly gallery talk of Marisol and Warhol Take New York on Floor 4. \n2–2:45 p.m.\nCurator’s tour of Marisol and Warhol Take New York with Jessica Beck\, Milton Fine curator of art on Floor 4. \n3:15–3:45 p.m.\nFamily-friendly gallery talk of Marisol and Warhol Take New York on Floor 4. \nMarisol and Warhol Take New York is presented by the Richard King Mellon Foundation and generously supported by the Terra Foundation for American Art\, Jim Spencer and Michael Lin\, Alice and Yaso Snyder and the WP Snyder Charitable Fund\, Dawn and Chris Fleischner\, and Highmark Blue Cross Blue Shield.
