In a whirlwind music career spanning almost 50 years\, Parks has done everything from being a session player with The Byrds and Judy Collins\, to arranging songs for Tim Buckley\, to working with Brian Wilson of the Beach Boys on the Smile album. His first solo record\, Song Cycle (1968) is a cult classic\, hailed for its eclecticism\, with folk\, classical\, ragtime\, jazz and rock influences.
