DESCRIPTION:We welcome back Dean Wareham (Galaxie 500\, Luna\, Dean & Britta) on a tour supporting his fourth solo album\, That’s the Price of Loving Me\, on Carpark Records\, though the career-spanning set will also include some Galaxie 500 and Luna songs. It‘s his first album with producer Kramer since Galaxie 500’s This Is Our Music (1990)\, and it was recorded in six days in Los Angeles. It features eight new songs\, drawing on influences such as Bacharach\, Gainsbourg\, and Norma Tanega plus covers of Nico and Mayo Thompson. DESCRIPTION:We welcome the Bristol-based Tara Clerkin Trio\, on a tour supporting their 2023 EP\, On the Turning Ground\, released on the U.K. record label\, World of Echo. Since Clerkin formed the experimental trio with Patrick Benjamin and Sunny-Joe Paradisos in 2020\, they have been cultivating their unique hybrid aesthetic that combines elements of folk\, dub\, and psychedelia\, as part of Bristol’s underground music scene. In a review in The Wire\, the band is described sonically as\, “Drifting from dubby minimalism to smudged acid jazz\, Tara’s stark and tuneful voice acts as the vehicle for her concise poetic lyricism. The group coalesce disparate influences into a cohesive sound\, reflecting a romantic view of a familiar world.” They visit the intimate Warhol theater just after their appearance at the acclaimed Big Ears Festival in Knoxville\, Tennessee. DESCRIPTION:Put on your most comfortable party outfit and join our welcoming staff for a sensory friendly evening of dancing\, socializing\, and artmaking. This event is planned specifically to support the enjoyment of individuals with autism spectrum disorders and those with sensory sensitivities. A live DJ will spin dance classics and our adjustable wireless headphones allow participants to choose their own volume levels or opt out. There will be an enclosed sensory friendly area on the first floor where partygoers can decompress or connect in a calm manner. The underground studio will be open for guests to enjoy silkscreen printing and other art projects. DESCRIPTION:Learn to build and blend your own remixes that will get everyone on the dance floor! Presented in partnership with Tech 25\, the Teen DJ Academy is a 12-week workshop series taught by professional live and touring DJs. Participants will get hands-on experience with pro gear and perform at Youth Invasion and LGBTQ+ Prom. Participants must be ages 13–18 and must attend a minimum of nine workshops in order to perform. This program is free and participants will earn a stipend for the 12 week program plus an additional stipend per performance. Space is limited.

DESCRIPTION:We welcome back West African Tuareg guitarist\, Mdou Moctar\, and his band who are originally from Agadez\, a desert village in rural Niger. They join us on a tour supporting their latest release Tears of Injustice\, a re-recorded version of their critically praised record\, Funeral for Justice\, re-arranged for acoustic and traditional instruments. According to the band’s U.S.-based bassist and producer\, Mikey Coltun\, in a recent interview in Stereogum\,“there’s a whole other side of the band that comes out when we play a stripped-down set.“ With this latest release out in February on Matador Records\, the band continues to reflect their unique blend of contemporary Saharan music and Western rock music structures and guitar techniques. DESCRIPTION:We welcome the New Orleans electro-revival musician and vocalist Dawn Richard and multi-instrumentalist\, producer\, and composer Spencer Zahn. Their debut collaborative album\, Pigments (Merge Records) tells the story of finding one’s self through dance\, self-expression\, and community. Not strictly neoclassical\, jazz\, or ambient electronic\, the project is one long composition that flows through several “movements” guided by five lead instruments: clarinet\, saxophone\, guitar\, strings\, and Richard’s stripped-down vocals.
