Upcoming Event Sound Series: Bonnie ‘Prince’ Billy & Matt Sweeney “Superwolves” with Emmett Kelly and Jonathan Richman featuring Tommy Larkins
This Sound Series concert has been canceled. Ticketmaster will be in contact with ticket holders as soon as possible.
We welcome back two highly individualistic and influential singer-songwriters, Bonnie “Prince” Billy (aka Will Oldham) and Jonathan Richman for a unique evening, sharing the stage at the acoustically rich Carnegie Music Hall. The two iconic troubadours will perform separate sets. First, Richman will be joined by percussionist Tommy Larkins and second, to close the evening, Oldham will be joined by guitarists Matt Sweeney and Emmett Kelly. Richman has been performing consistently over the last 40 years, beginning with his pioneering band, the Modern Lovers, in the early 1970s. Oldham has been releasing music since the early 90’s, originally as Palace Brothers before Bonnie Prince Billy, with several collaborations and side projects, most recently with guitarist Matt Sweeney as Superwolves.
Doors open at 7 p.m.
