DESCRIPTION:Join artist educators for Dandy Andy\, a monthly tour that focuses on Warhol’s queer history. While his sexuality is frequently suppressed or debated\, Warhol was a gay man who had several partners throughout his life. Warhol’s boyfriends\, including Edward Wallowitch\, John Giorno\, and Jed Johnson\, were also his colleagues and collaborators\, helping to shape and define his career as an artist. This tour traces Warhol’s romantic relationships and queer identity against the backdrop of the historical gay rights movement in the United States. Tours meet on the museum’s seventh floor.

As the largest affirming prom in Southwestern Pennsylvania\, we are proud to offer this inclusive party that provides every young person the chance to make their prom night a treasured memory. Models will walk the runway in repurposed\, reimagined\, and recycled garments and accessories created during our Youth Open Studio program. These two events are a great opportunity for self-expression and a chance to support young Pittsburgh area artists right before the holidays!

DESCRIPTION:Join us for a sensory-friendly exploration of the KAWS + Warhol exhibition designed especially for adults with autism spectrum disorders and those with sensory sensitivities. This program for adults ages 18+ offers an adapted museum experience including designated quiet areas\, lower lighting levels and access to fidgets and noise-canceling headphones. Participants will explore the works & themes found in KAWS + Warhol through supportive discussion before heading to the Factory art studio to create their own silkscreen prints. Our welcoming staff is excited to offer this studio night and support the diversity of our community. SUMMARY:Curator Tours of Unseen: Permanent Collection Works
DESCRIPTION:Join either Director\, Patrick Moore\, or Chief Curator\, Aaron Levi Garvey\, for a tour of the exhibition\, Unseen: Permanent Collection Works\, featuring more than 60 works that have never been displayed since they entered the museum’s collection. The works represent riffs on or experiments with well-known Warhol images as well as previously unshown examples of larger series depicting images that were of importance to Warhol. The fact that these works have never been shown reflects the enormity of the museum’s collection and the complexity of Warhol’s legacy.  \n\nPre-registration is required.\nTours meet on the museum’s second floor.
