SUMMARY:Exposures: Meet the Artist
DESCRIPTION:Join us for a casual talk with Pittsburgh-based artist Travis K. Schwab\, as he talks about his installment of Exposures: Travis K. Schwab: Lost and Found in The Warhol Store’s street-facing windows. Schwab’s installation focuses on Warhol’s enduring place in our visual culture. With photography in mind\, Schwab produced three new portraits of Warhol and several smaller canvases painted from the forgotten photo strips museum visitors left behind in the museum’s vintage photobooth. Guests are encouraged to engage in a community critique about Schwab’s installation and his practice to date.

SUMMARY:Exposures: Meet the Artist
DESCRIPTION:Join us for our summer installment of Exposures for a casual talk with Pittsburgh-based emerging artist Elizabeth A. Rudnick. Taking inspiration from Warhol’s late prints on view in the museum’s Andy’s Toybox gallery\, Rudnick created three new large-scale abstract paintings\, installed in The Warhol Store’s street-facing windows. TREASURE/TRASH brings her work in dialogue with Warhol’s late print portfolio Truck (1985)\, which he produced to commemorate the 20th World Congress of the International Road Transport Union.

SUMMARY:Exposures: Meet the Artists
DESCRIPTION:Join us for our spring installment of Exposures for a casual talk with the artists. This installation takes inspiration from the works of Corita Kent\, the subject of our current exhibition. Aspects relate to themes in Kent’s work and she uses a palette of bright colors and ordinary materials. The window display Exposures: Good Intentions is by Cecilia Ebitz with artist products by Brooklyn–based artist Cassie Griffin and Pittsburgh’s own Worker Bird and Ron Copeland. \nThis program is presented in conjunction with Someday is Now: The Art of Corita Kent.
