Recurring Event Youth Invasion: Circus

One of its longest-running youth events, The Warhol is excited to present its annual Youth Invasion! This multifaceted program features teens’ unique take on Warhol’s artwork, with their points of view, ideas, and creative expressions energizing the entire museum. This year’s circus-themed event features youth performers, silkscreen printing, an exhibition of youth artwork, and more.

Firelei Báez: Bloodlines

February 17 – May 21, 2017

In this bust portrait of a woman with dark skin she sits in profile with her head turned 45 degrees to look directly at the viewer. She has dark brown eyes and wears an elaborate headdress that fills the top half of the vertical portrait. The headdress is a variety of whites, beiges, browns, and a bit of blue where the fabric folds creating shadows. It includes a variety of decorative patterns, and one of the patterns includes black panthers.
