Please enjoy this first look at the construction and installation of the main gallery on the 7th floor of The Warhol Museum. Many of the artworks and archival photographs are on view for the very first time, including dozens of photographs of Warhol’s parents, brothers, extended family, and friends from the 1920s through the 1940s. Also on view are Warhol’s birth certificate, high school yearbook, and several rarely exhibited photographs of Warhol in New York City taken shortly after his move there in 1949. In addition, the Paul Warhola and Mark Warhola families have graciously loaned several paintings created by Warhol in Pittsburgh in the 1940s. More glimpses into our museum re-installation will be shared in the coming weeks.
