Warhol Around the WorldThe Warhol in New Zealand

A New Zealand patron using our traveling screen test machine.

Last month I was fortunate enough to travel to Wellington, New Zealand to represent The Andy Warhol Museum at The Museum of New Zealand Te Papa Tongarewa. They were opening their huge special exhibition Warhol: Immortal, featuring an immense body of work from The Andy Warhol Museum and a few other institutions. In addition to the artwork, the exhibition also features our newly-debuted traveling screen test machine, as well as iPad kiosks showcasing our DIY POP app.

I had quite a few media duties, including being interviewed for Radio New Zealand – check out the audio above.

The entire trip was incredible, and I got to participate in many things that can only be found in New Zealand, like a traditional Maori blessing of the exhibition before the opening, and a hike through a park that looked just like Middle Earth. But the highlight was definitely the museum’s opening celebration! Te Papa really went all-out and threw the party of the year, inviting none other than Marilyn Monroe and Andy himself (well, modern proxies, anyway).

Check out the photos below and feel free to use the comments section to ask questions about the show and my trip!
