Recurring Event Teacher Workshop: Adman: Warhol Before Pop

A white palette is in the foreground with orange, yellow, green, and blue watercolor paint. In the background is a pair of hands holding a paintbrush while adding color to white paper filled with stars, moons, hearts and birds stamped in black ink.

Explore Warhol’s formative years in New York’s burgeoning advertising industry of the 1950s in our exhibition Adman: Warhol Before Pop. Examine how Warhol combined drawing with basic printmaking techniques to create a variety of illustrations along a similar theme. Participants will learn how to use Warhol’s early commercial illustration techniques such as rubber stamping, blotted line, and marbleizing in the classroom to teach students about reproduction, repetition, and making multiples. Tickets include museum admission, materials, and a private tour of the exhibition.

Please note that this event has been rescheduled from Friday, May 4, 2018 to Friday, July 20, 2018.
