Recurring Event National Coming Out Day

A black and white photograph shows Andy Warhol from the chest up in drag, wearing heavy face powder, black eyeliner, and dark red lipstick. He is facing forward and stares at the camera, with a loose white blouse unbuttoned at the neck.

Celebrate National Coming Out Day with us! In honor of this holiday, we will pay tribute to Andy Warhol’s legacy as an openly gay icon.

Both of our daily gallery talks will focus on one of Warhol’s boyfriends and their impact on his art and career. In The Factory, we will offer a free button-making activity with a variety of queer-themed imagery to choose from.

Gallery talks take place on the 7th floor at 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. Button-making takes place in The Factory from 1:30-5:00 p.m.
