The Lost Soul
Depression is an issue that many people suffer from. Some may not know how to cope with it and believe that suicide is the only option to make their pain go away.
Spontaneity
My friends and I decided to take a spontaneous trip to a beach to watch the sunset. We needed a break from technology, because we are college students who attend classes on Zoom every day. Going to the beach helped us reconnect to the world and remember that not everything requires technology.
Ornithophobia
Gen-Z’s mental illness awareness captured through a rare psychological condition, the fear of birds. No other generation promotes proper mental hygiene and is as educated on mental illness like Gen-Z.
Covid-19
Generation that have to force with a virus called Covid-19. Everything have been change in our generation such as some of place have to where mask, some of people have to work from home etc.
Sanity in Quarantine
This piece focuses on how I took care of my physical and mental health. Taking care of my plants has been one of the things that has been keeping me sane through this year. As well as vitamin c, which prevents sickness. Spiderman makes an appearance because my love for Marvel movies only grew. This year was difficult, but I wouldn’t be who I am now without it, so weirdly enough I’m grateful to have had that time.
Friends with a Purpose
This photo means so much to me because it really defined what my friend group and I did over this long season of Covid-19 and being isolated. We tried to improve ourselves everyday together by going to the gym and being around each other. It was our escape route from what was happening in reality.
Quarantined Adventure!
This was one of my most favorite COVID-19 “quarantined” adventures with my friend Tab. We went hiking to Eternal Flame Falls in Orchard Park, NY and found this interesting boulder on the way! During the COVID-19 pandemic I did a lot of hiking adventures to many new places which helped with my mental health and staying active!
Video Games
Video games can be used as a “gateway” out of the craziness in the world. It offers an escape from abuse and depression. People can play and treat it as a way to help themselves during uncertain times.
Fox and the Hound
This ornament is one from my childhood and I feel like it can, in some way, represent the nostalgia and the wear and tear that many of the people in my generation have gone through. It represents simpler times, like holidays when we were young, and how much time can change us.

Everyone is Looking
The skeleton heads are looking at the body as if it was judging it or as if it wanted to be like it. My generation has an issue with body positivity and Social Anxiety. I feel like this represents this.
Life & Death
The skull is death and life is the flowers around the still life. The still life is representing the balance between life and death as a harmonious piece.
