Past Event Sound Series: Claire Rousay with special guest Merce Lemon

A woman with short brown hair wearing a light jean coat, green shirt, and necklace stands in front of a concrete wall.

We welcome the San Antonio-based experimental and ambient sound artist and percussionist, Claire Rousay, for a solo performance in the museum’s intimate theater.

Her compositions employ field recordings of her environment, including voicemails and conversations. Rousay has collaborated with a wide range of musicians including More Eaze, Jacob Wick, and Ken Vandermark and she has performed her work at such venues as Constellation Chicago, Issue Project Room, and the Tobin Center for Performing Arts (San Antonio). Pittsburgh-based songwriter and performer, Merce Lemon, will open the evening.

  • Doors open at 7:30 p.m.
