Sound Series: This Is The Kit

We welcome This Is The Kit, the musical project of British singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, Kate Stables, to our intimate theater. Now seven albums in, some admiring peers and collaborators include Sharon Van Etten, Aaron Dessner (The National), Chris Thile (Nickel Creek, Punch Brothers) and Guy Garvey (BBC 6Music). The past few records have been released on the iconic UK label, Rough Trade Records, and the band garnered this comment from Paste: “Stables’ outside-the-box brand of folk music still sounds like nothing else you’ve ever heard.”
